We host regular pilates classes here at Sedlescombe in the Club House. 

Our resident instructor, Liz, is a qualified physiotherapist and started her own company, 1066Physio, in 2010.

1066 Physio offers a modified pilates system developed by the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute which is suitable for rehabilitation in a clinical setting. Individual or small group sessions can be booked Monday to Friday.

LIZ

ELIZABETH SIMPSON

MSC. MCSP SRP.
After qualifying at the Royal London Hospital Liz had the opportunity to move to Australia to work as a physiotherapist for 3 years in both the outback and coastal hospitals.


On returning to London she worked in private practice in London specialising in musicians and sports and the problems associated with intensive practice and performance.


In 2000 she gained an MSc in Human Ergonomics from the University of Surrey and with this qualification she worked as an Occupational Physiotherapist in the field of Health and Safety in both London and Melbourne.


In 2010 she started 1066physio and now treats a wide range of conditions and injuries with manual therapies and acupuncture. She also enjoys teaching pilates on a one to one basis or classes as she feels that the exercises are the best way to maintain muscle strength and soft tissue flexibility whilst minimising strain to joints.
