i am to belive that the 1st month dd will now be 122.50 with the 40 pound on the card ? why is it seems i am being forced to top up an amount that i would not normally top up my personal situation is streached to the limit at the moment as i am getting married in 4 weeks its just another problem for me to worry about so what am i ment to do ??

I have some sympathy with Pauls issue with the increase in DD payments and I'm sure he's right that the majority of members would choose to pay this way. There is a potential solution though that would keep everyone happy if the member follows these actions:

1. Take out a 0% interest on purchases credit card. (there are lots of introductory offers around at the moment and the offers are usually for 0% interest on purchases for about 15 months - some are more, some are less).

2. Pay your golf sub and top up card all up front using your new credit card.

3. Set up a direct debit with your bank to repay your purchase to the credit card company in twelve equal payments.

4. DO NOT use the new credit card for anything else!

5. After your twelve payments to the credit card company, cancel the card and look for another one ready for next years subscription !

So, the club gets all the money up front and the member gets to pay by installment with no added premium.

I hope this helps
