I am a late starter in golf and am trying to improve playing the Par 3 course before venturing onto the main course. I would like to congratulate the ground staff on the excellent state of the Par 3 this season. The only problem I have found is that it is common to get stuck behind groups that are playing very slowly who appear most reluctant to let me - a single player - through. Most probably they are not club members, so I wonder if it may help to have a prominent notice at the first tee of the Par 3 asking slow groups to invite much faster players through. They do not all seem aware of the etiquette. This is a small niggle as I thoroughly enjoy the Par 3 course and am very happy being a member of Sedlescombe GC.

Hi mike.
The par 3 course does get busy with lots of golfers of all levels. We do try to marshall the course at the weekends but as the main course gets busy we probably do not get round the par 3 as often as we would like.
We appreciate the comments and we will pay more attention to the par 3.
Tony. ( course Marshall.)

Hi Tony. Thanks for your prompt reply to my post. I appreciate that the priority for marshalls is the main course and that is why I was wondering about a notice on the Par 3 first tee. Thank you to you and your colleagues for the excellent job you do. Mike
