That sounds like a complete rip off and that will stop people entering the comps.
The winner should take more, why should the club take anything.

I am not sure how to answer your post. This post is neither asking a question nor being constructive in its direction.

The Golf Club forum it to ask questions and suggest better ways of running the club. If we put our minds together we can create something great, a clash of heads will result in nothing.

Competition Fees

A typical member’s golf club take between £25.00-£50.00 admin costs
Sedlescombe Golf Club take between £9.00-£32.00 admin costs (20%) This funds the Handicap Secretary's Membership Fees and covers admin costs.

£1.00 per entry goes towards the Social Fund (The Social Fund helps support social events, competitions, captain’s day, prizes, trophies and the club Christmas dinner.)

After the above deductions are made the prize fund is divided as below:
1st Prize 50%
2nd Prize 30%
3rd Prize 20%

I hope this resolves any queries regarding the breakdown of competition entry fees.

I hope this answers your post as well Happy Gilmore (please post with your name next time as we need to keep this a members only forum)
