Hi, my name is Ray and I help organise a group of golfers who play on Tuesday mornings.

We call ourselves the Tuesday Social Group and our aim is to enjoy golf, we welcome all types of golfers, men or women. High or low handicappers who want to have a fun game.

So if you are already a member, thinking of joining or just coming for a golf day and want to make new friends come and join us any Tuesday morning at 9:04.

Just ask in the Pro shop for more information.

Update on the tuesday group, we are now called S.T.A.G.S. (sedlescome,tuesday, amateur,golf. society,) the group remains the same with the same purpose and that is to introduce new golfers to the game and also to make friends along the way. At the moment we have approx 25 members, there are no subs, we have a reguler roll/up on tuesday and we have group days golf away.We have players with handicaps ranging from 12 to 28.This is a very good way of finding your feet withing the club and making reguler friends to play golf with.

Quite frankly I think that your society on a tuesday is abhorrent and has no place at sedlescombe, i think you should all be thrown out of the club!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL

That last comment is exactly why people have the impression that golf is for snobs! Everyone has to start somewhere Mick dont they? Oh and also bear in mind it's a PUBLIC golf course if u don't like things like this go to a private members course! Lol

Doug don't take any notice of that post i don't mean a word of it , i wrote it for completely different motives than to upset the tuesday club. Enjoy your roll-up/society/game on tuesday as much as i enjoy mine on sunday.

Perhaps Mick Anthony should think a lot longer before he writes such churlish comments, I have only recently taken up the game of golf and the Tuesday group have made me very welcome and encouraged my game,it is such comments that negate new members joining this and other clubs.

Iam totaly shocked at your comments Mick, that kind of remark will I feel sure will do more damage to sedlescome Golf Club. I have also like you played golf to a very high standard and indeed played to single figure, and I have also been attached to some very Good clubs my last post before moving down to this area was as handicap sec for 6 years, but in all my years of playing golf (45)never have I meet such an Arrogant comment and if anything Mick it should be players with that sort of attitude that has no places at this club, and not the tuesday group.
Considering that you have never atempted to play in the tuesday group your comments are very harsh. We mix golf with the social side and one thing we are trying to do is to bring more members into the club,a club that all of us, yes ALL of us are proud to be members off.
I would very grateful if you would give the tuesday group a very humble apology.

I was going to post a reply to the comment of Mick's, but everything I was going to say has now already been said. Well done the tuesday group, you are correct there is and will always be room at Sedlescombe Golf Club for all standards of player from the social golfer to the serious golfer, and as Captain I will try and promote all sides and all standards at Sedlescombe. I believe that about half the membership are social golfers who enjoy the game and the company, if it wasn't for them the membership fees would probably be higher.
