The following notes are the changes to the CONGU Unified Handicap Systems (2008) for the 2011 playing season. Changes are as follows:
1. There is to be no cap on the number of 9-hole scores that may be returned by a player. This is a change to clause 22.10 of the Unified Handicapping System (UHS).
2. Supplementary scores are to be allowed for ALL categories but the maximum number of 10 is to be retained. This is a change to clause 21.1 of the UHS.
3. There is to be no qualifying competition restriction on the playing of supplementary scores. This is a change to clause 21.1 of the UHS.
4. The scores for those with inactive handicaps are to be excluded from the CSS calculation.
5. In mixed events (men and women competing individually in the same stroke play or stableford competition) handicaps may need to be adjusted to reflect different Pars and Standard Scratch Scores (SSS). In medal play the handicaps of those playing on the higher SSS course will be increased by the difference in the SSSs. In Stableford/Par competitions the handicaps of those playing on the course that requires less points to play to handicap will be increased by the difference in points required. 6. CONGU would like all software to be able to produce a least two results sheets for each competition. One result sheet should contain only those with active handicaps whilst the other should contain the full field.
