I would once again like to congratulate the scratch team on another superb win (7.5 to 4.5) against Brighton and Hove. We finished the morning pairs winning 3 to 1. The afternoon singles ended up being a very tight situation with just two matches out on the course, Simon Linklater finishing on the 18 with a superb putt to half his match. This gave us the win but Paul Lawrence was still to finish. He finished winning on the 17 by 2 and 1. Can I also add that the team played as a team and supported one another to the very end. A big thanks must also be given to Sam /Graham and the team, the food was excellent and very well recieved by everyone. We must now look forward to playing Selsey away on the 3rd July.
This could be either be an early start or an overnight stay.
