The Fourth Hole << Back - Next Hole >>
Par 5 - 508 yards

This is the first of two back to back par fives, the tee shot needs to negotiate the 'Sedlescombe Great Oak' (unfortunately damaged but still living from previous storms) and the fairway bunker.
The hole doglegs to the left and narrows as it progresses and the fairway drops down to the green, hiding it from view from anything but a pitch, and is protected by two sandtraps to the left and right.
Pro's Tip: The wide open fairway encourages players to open their shoulders, but hitting the fairway is important for consistant low scores. The long hitters have a chance to hit the green in 2, but the shot must be straight or it will be caught by one of the two greenside bunkers. Be aware, overclub on this hole at your peril.
