The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway
Kent's mainline in miniature. First opened to traffic in July 1927 as the 'World's Smallest Public Railway' and now covering a distance of 13.5 miles from the picturesque Cinque Port of Hythe, near the channel tunnel, to the fishermans cottages and lighthouses at Dungeness.
The Kent & East Sussex Railway
The country's finest example of a rural light railway. The line gently wends its way from Tenterden - "The Jewel of The Weald" for ten and a half miles, through the unspoilt countryside of the Rother Valley, to terminate in the shadow of the magnificent National Trust castle at Bodiam.

Carr Taylor Vineyard
David & Linda Carr Taylor established the vineyard, in the beautiful 1066 countryside just north of Hastings, more than 30 years ago and quickly gained international recognition for their award winning English wines. In 1985 they were one of the first to pioneer commercial English sparkling wine for which their reputation is now firmly established winning many awards including a Gold medal in 1988 & 1999 in the Challenge International du Vin.

Hastings Lifeboat
Many rescues have taken place off the shore of Hastings. In 1830, two gold medals were awarded for gallantary. In 1857 a sailing boat and all her crew were lost off the coast of Hastings. This tragedy led to a fund being set up in order to raise enough to supply a local lifeboat, which when purchased was stored in a boathouse at Rock-A-Nore - not too far away from the present location.
